Monthly author blog update. Since my last update, I’ve finished editing the novella I was working on called Pretend with Me. I really think I did a good job with this one. It’s a trope we all love or love to hate: Fake Fiancé/Fiancée or Fake Engagement.
Book review, I recently read Wanda M. Morris book, Any Where You Run. Like her previous novels, I enjoyed this one as well. The novel takes place in the early to mid-1950s at the height of racism in the Jim Crow era. At the heart of the story, is Violet and Marigold, sisters. One sister is running from a murder that she had committed, while the other sister is running from an abusive marriage.
I can’t believe April is already over. It’s strange—I don’t feel like I got much accomplished. I’m still deep in edits and writing since my last update, but I’m happy to report I’m nearing the final two chapters of my third novella.
