Monthly Author Blog Update. Wrap-Up: Books, Edits, and a Surprise

Well, May is over and June is here and it's time for another great Monthly Author Blog Update. May flew by so fast, I got whiplash. (A little humor there.) Since my last update, I’ve finished editing the novella I was working on called Pretend with Me. I really think I did a good job with this one. It’s a trope we all love or love to hate: Fake Fiancé/Fiancée or Fake Engagement. The story has a lot going on, and I know you’ll enjoy it.

While I was busy moving at turtle speed, I somehow managed to finish another novella, and I’m currently in the editing phase. It’s another story I truly enjoyed writing.

Now, about that full-length novel I mentioned, yes, it’s still coming! The editing is taking longer than I’d like, mostly because I’ve been hopping around doing other things: novellas, graphic promos, book covers... and the big surprise: my podcast.

That’s right! My podcast is launching on Spotify in June. This has been a labor of love. I’ve always wanted to do one, and I’m excited about the guests I’ve interviewed so far. I’m hoping I can keep it going, though it’s not easy finding time in everyone’s busy schedules.

I also discovered another great author: S.A. Cosby. I’m currently reading his book My Darkest Prayer. He’s a fantastic writer and an awesome storyteller. His use of metaphors and similes will have you laughing out loud.

Quick movie update: back in February, I stumbled across a gem of a film called The Old Guard, starring Charlize Theron. It actually came out two years ago, but I just found it and fell in love. I was thrilled to hear that part two is coming to Netflix this July. Now that’s a month I’m looking forward to! Enjoy the sneak peek blow. I will see you in the next Monthly Author Blog Update.
