What’s Going On With Me

What a crazy month it’s been as March heads into its third week—I can’t believe it’s almost over! Time really does fly, just like they say.

To kick things off this month, my small town hosted its annual book festival and signing. I attended not as an author (I’ve never done that!) but as an enthusiastic spectator. I met several wonderful authors, bought their books, and had them signed. One author who really stood out was Wanda M. Morris.

I loved hearing her backstory—how she became an author and how long it took her to get traditionally published. It wasn’t an easy journey, but she stuck with it, and I found her story incredibly inspiring. If you’re curious, she has quite a few interviews on YouTube that are well worth checking out.

Mrs. Morris writes mystery and suspense and has received several awards and accolades for her work. I once tried reading a sleuth detective novel and gave up partway through, but I’m hoping her book, What You Leave Behind, will be my way into reading more mysteries. (Just not psychological thrillers—I can’t do those!)I started her book during the second week of March, and I have to say, it’s absolutely wonderful. I’m so curious about the ending—I can’t wait to find out who’s guilty! If you’re interested in Wanda M. Morris’ book, just click the book image to check it out.

On the writing front, my edits for Book Four in the Rock Creek Falls Series are coming along—slowly, but surely. I’m also thrilled to share that my second novella is back from the editor. Just a few changes left to make, and then it’ll be ready for publishing.

I’m also 9,987 words into my third novella. I may be moving at a snail’s pace, but hey—I’m queen slow, and I’ll get there!

What I’m Watching (or Streaming)

Reacher is so good right now, especially since it’s nearing the end of the season—I think there are only about two episodes left. Neagley has been making a stronger appearance lately, stepping in to lend Reacher a hand. There’s definitely some chemistry between them, and I kind of like it. But honestly, I’m glad the writers haven’t paired them up. It’s better that way.

Kraven the Hunter was a good movie for me—not amazing, but enjoyable. And honestly, I’ll watch just about anything Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in.

Living Single—I’m binge-watching it for the third time… lol! I can’t help it. I just love that TV series. Even though it went off the air a long time ago, it’s still a classic in my book.

That’s all for now. Thank you so much for your continued support! 💛
