Wow! Another author monthly wrap-up already. Well, Christmas has come and gone, and a new year is here! I'm glad for the milestones I've reached. I hope 2026 brings you everything you're looking for; the year to do what you truly love.

A Change of Direction

This comes with a heavy heart: I might be ending my email subscription and my website. The reason for this decision is financial. I have an active email list, but no one is buying my books. I have a growing website, but the monthly subscription cost doesn't justify the expense. The money I'm spending on these two services could be redirected toward advertising.

I love communicating with you every month, and I love writing my blog posts, it means the world to me, and I'll be sad to see it go. Right now, I'm still in the "should I do this?" phase, but I wanted to give you a heads-up. In the meantime, I'll continue as usual until I make a final decision.

Coming Release

My upcoming release is Off Limits. I also have a new novella that's finished except for the epilogue, then it's off to editing!

From the Writing Cave

I'm hoping the start of the new year will bring me some much-needed speed to produce more books this year. That's my plan. Fingers crossed I can make it happen!

Currently Reading

I just finished The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager. I read The Only One Left by him too, and it was great. As much as I tried to avoid it, I did DNF a book this month. I won't say which one, but I just couldn't get past chapter six.

Books Read for the Year!

I'm happy to say I've read 13 books this year! It was my foray into the murder mystery, crime thriller, and psychological suspense world. Some of the books were absolutely amazing, and some were just okay. I've added an image collage of all the book covers below just in case you want to check any of them out for yourself!

2025 Books Read collage, includes covers of 13 books with titles and authors. Background has gold confetti, and small stack of books. Text celebrates reading achievement.

What I'm Watching

I watched the newer Robin Hood remake, All Her Fault, Sisu, Home Alone 1 & 2, Feds, Peggy Sue Got Married, Brewster's Millions, and Stir Crazy.

Happy New Year! See you in the next wrap-up—hopefully!

XOXO,

Nola
