Joro Spiders, a Reading Slump, and One Show Worth Watching!

Hi,
The month of August flew by! I wasn't planning to do The Mash Up this time, since nothing much has changed, so I'll keep it quick.
Oh, I went from the gnats driving me crazy to those awful yellow Joro spiders. I can't stand those things! They can spin a web about 10 to 20 feet across—three-dimensional, with a golden hue, and thick. Having the yard professionally sprayed does nothing. You knock down the webs and they're back in a day or two. I hate them with a passion. Every time I step outside my door, my body is on full alert.
Anyway, I hope August was a good month for you! Did you reach your goals? Did you spend quality time with your family? Did you read a good book or watch a good movie?
This Mash Up won't contain much on writing, reading, or the TV shows and movies I've watched.
What's Ahead / Writing
On the writing front, I'm outlining a new novella while I wait on my editor to finish editing another author's book. That's it for writing this month!
What I'm Reading / Read
Last month I had an abysmal reading month, and this reading slump hasn't let up. I'm ashamed to say I haven't finished Kennedy Ryan's novel, Before I Let Go. I don't want to DNF the book—I've only done that twice, and I didn't like the feeling it gave me. This reading slump is a rough one, and I'll have to find my way out of it soon.
What I'm Watching / Watched
🎬 Movie Quote: "Not one single quote!"
I didn't watch much this month, which is honestly a good thing! So, I'll add what TV shows and movies I've watched to next month's Mash Up.
Sorry, I lied—there is one show I think you should watch. I found it surprisingly good: Dark Matter on Apple TV. It has nine episodes, so give it a try!
Well, that's all for now.
I'll continue The Mash Up for the month of September, hopefully by the end of the month. Because honestly, I'm getting my months confused...lol.
See you soon!
Nola.
