July 2025 Author Update: New Book Release, Writing Progress & Reading Recommendations

July has flown by, and it’s time for another monthly wrap-up!

Newest Release

Pretend with Me, my new book was released, July 2025 and it's available on Amazon! I wanted to get that out of the way first. As they say, you should always market your book every chance you get. I was also part of two book promotions called Support Indie Authors 2025. I hope you got a chance to view the featured authors and their books and hopefully found a few new reads to add to your list.

Coming Release

The next story I was working on came back from my editor two and a half weeks ago. I still have a few changes to make, or should I say a few chapters to fix, before I send it off to the proofreader. This upcoming novella centers around Olivia and Tucker, and it's called Off Limits: My Brother's Best Friend. Plus, there's an age gap, which adds to the characters' dilemma. There's some mechanical bull riding and motorcycle riding as well. It's shaping up to be an exciting story, one I think you'll enjoy.

From the Writing Cave

I've outlined a new story about Elle (Emily's older sister) and Clint. Elle is searching for her own happiness and thinks having a baby is the key. Clint is a local Deputy Sheriff who arrests Elle. This one is going to have some funny banter, family fun, and a possible marriage of convenience. I can't wait to start writing it!

Currently Reading

I'm reading another S.A. Cosby book, The King of Ashes. I'm a little torn about this story. All I can say, is it's definitely not like the first book I read by S.A. Cosby. But I'll touch more on it when I do my book review.

What I'm Watching

Currently streaming: Duster on HBO. I'm going to watch the last episode tonight. It was a good eight-episode series. I loved the '70s vibe, with Josh Holloway as a driver for a crime boss and Rachel Hilson as an FBI agent put on the case to put an end to the crime boss's spree of murder and drugs. It had a lot of potential for future episodes, but that's not going to happen. The powers that be decided not to renew it for another season.
